I remember seeing that Mustang make it’s last flight at Oshkosh. It was in formation with a P-51C and two P-51D’s when the announcer said that we were witnessing the final flight of this aircraft. T’was a sight to be seen and a sound to be heard! I’ll see if I can find some photos in my albums to post of it.

I was out to Oshkosh in 1976, the year she was fresh out of restoration, and saw her fly.
We have a picture of it in the warbird parking, like any other P-51 of the day.
Just tooooo… cool!
