The other day I rudely and irrelevently tacked this question on to a reply to someone else’s topic. Now I’m asking in its own place, and asking your indulgence., since I still have this problem. I am building Eduard X-1 Profipack (1/48) and after assembling what I thought was a wonderful instrument panel using kit’s PE, film and resin instrument backs, disaster struck. After adding a Waldron O2 regulator (the resin one did the old carpet swan dive) and some wire to the back of the instruments, I found it didn’t fit. The things I added to the kit are not holding it up. It just won’t go in the cockpit. Since I followed the instructions and tried to install it after joining fuselage, I’m in a tiff. I’ve thinned the cockpit coaming, filed down the rudder pedal bar and even broke off one of the three sections of the instrument panel. Still won’t go in. Anybody have this problem? Anyone know a fix? Its a nice, expensive little kit and I don’t want to put it on the “Gave Up” shelf.[?]
