WWII rocket color

I am building the Hobby Boss Bearcat, which is a nice kit. It has some color call-outs, but a few that are missing. This kit has bombs and rockets. Other WWII kits I have built call out OD for bombs, but I don’t recall having built a kit yet with rockets. Anyone know what color the rockets would have been?

This is not a complicated kit (though not as simple as some of the less expensive Tamiya kits), but I it think has some decent detail for a relatively inexpensive kit. My first Hobby Boss kit, and it is a good one.

Thanks for any help

I think they had OD warheads with either white or light grey bodies.

The Wildcat I built called for white rockets.

Cool picture in the link.

Thanks for the responses.

That’s the first I have ever seen of white rocket bodies in WWII. Usually they were aluminum or light gray from all research I have done into that subject over the past 10+ years. Warheads are OD.

since the Bearcat was a post-WWII aircraft, it is tempting to go with post-WWII info for the stores under the wings
