Been building tanks for a while. Thinking of trying a plane as a change of pace. I have no aircraft paints at all. I need RLM 76, 81 and 83. I think Extracolor has them in enamel. I would prefer acrylics. Does any company make those 3 colors in acrylics? Help!
Glenn
I believe I"ve seen RLM colors in the Model Master Acryl line. Check out this link: http://www.testors.com/catalog_browse.asp?ictNbr=4
That has a list of Testors paints you should be able to find the Acryl line and get a paint chart. Tamiya may make the RLM color line; go to www.tamiyausa.com and check out their paint line. -Hope that helps!
Pollyscale has some RLM colors, might wanna try them
Polly Scale & Model Master are commonly available acrylics that have the RLM colors. However the best I’ve used are “Aircraft Colors” made by Vallejo & marketed by Eagle Strike. Not many Hobby Shops carry the line, but they are available from Eagle Strike & Squadron to name two sources. Only caution, they are formulated for AB use, not for brush painting.

Glenn, I have the MM Modeler’s Technical Guide
RLM 76 = (enamel)MM#2086 which PolyScale # 500088 (PolyScale#505061*)
Aeromaster Warbird acrylics #1027
81= MM#2090 PolyScale #505070 Warbird #1031
83= MM#2092 PolyScale505072* Warbird#1034
(*these MM colors require a coa of the appropriat MM clear lacquer to match the finish of the equivalent competitor’s color)
Does not show Tamiya paints as having these colors.

Thanks guys for all the help! I think I’m going to try Polly Scale acrylics. GreatModels has them on sale and I can get the 3 colors I need!
Again…thanks!
Glenn
You are welcome Glenn,
Just make sure they are “IN-Stock” when you order them. be careful with them (GMW)
Eddie
Don’t worry! Am an veteran GM buyer. Have dealt with them many, many times!
Glenn
Glenn, glad to hear that. I am a vet of GMW myself but, after the big time screw up on my last order (which i’m still waiting on) I have given up on ordering from them.[B)]
I use Model Master paints and they have just about every single RLM color. They are all acrylic too.
Hope this Helps!

Try Polly Scale paints they have the whole run of WWII colors and you could get them from Great Models or Squadron
If you can get them, Gunze do the RLM colours too. For my money, they are slightly better than the Tamiya ones - & I use both.
