Hey Guys Im pretty sure the color is your standard O.D. green but I would like to be sure. I’ve seen some photos of some that look black.
They might be yellow. Not sure
All the ones I have seen are OD green with yellow , red or black strip . But I don’t do many navy birds [8)]
I’ve seen color pics from my Dad’s carrier (USS Bataan, CVL29) and they looked gray to me. All the models I have done/are doing say to paint OD with the yellow stripes…who to believe.
It makes sense, though, that they would be gray. Dad said everything aboard was gray, including chow!
