WWII heavy bombers

hey all,
I have a delima, My loving wife would like for me to build her a WWII heavy bomber. I like the 1/48 B-24, but cant find much after market stuff (I like to use AM stuff sometimes, and the urge has struck again). Does anyone know of PE or resn sets for Monogram kit?

My other option is a B-29 in 1/48, but the am stuff for that is even less. I would like to find markings for Bocks Car if I can find what i want for that kit.

Does anyone know of resin and PE for either of these kits??

thanks

jim

For the B-24 there are many aftermarket decal sets availivble, Aires makes a really nice set of replacement Brownings for the waist position, Koster makes detail sets and replacement sets for the nose, tail and top turret. Using the Navylib website and the Bestb24 website you can add more scratch detail to the turrets as well with little effort. Search internet hobby shops for engines by designation and not by aircraft and you should be able to fine some options there. Squadron has a replacement main canopy and true details has replacement wheels.

For the B-29 search by aircraft type at meteorprod.com and you will find several interesting items.

Flightpath also make a huge fret for the Libby

rollmodels.com has engines from Engines N Things. You can get the specific engine for type.Allen

cool,
thanks all for your help
