I’m planning a dio with a Tiger of the second SS being resuplied by an Opel Blitz. Would the opel blitz have Second SS division Markings and plates? Or were the supply companies part of the Heere?
thanks

they could have been any
if the truck was there it would have been used Heer, SS, Luftwaffe or Marine
So the SS would have had their own supply companies?
maybe so, let me check…i will be using a site i got for the HJ GB, see if that unit had supply…one moment
On further review, I have come to the conclusion…although i don’t understand all the words in my limited german, that i am guessing, since they did have sanitation units, a news unit, and their own field bakery unit etc, they must have kept some supply units to themselves, i also recall reading a story where in Caen, one of the many kampgruppen which was supplying the city, and it belonged to the 12SS, was attacked, thus calling in a counterattack…so probably supply could be from the SS itself, or provided by higher structures such as the corps or army levels or command.
great thanks!

can you post the german text here, so i could try to translate it.
ok then panzerpabst, where in sachsen do you live? I went to dresden not to long ago, one of the coolest cities i saw in germany, people there are sane, unlike the bavarians that we saw…silly blaskapelle musik…I will find the words, and post the website, which a fine one
SS-Panzernachrichtenabteilung 12
Die Versorgungstruppen
SS-Nachschubtruppen 12
SS-Instandsetzungsabteilung 12
I will have to tell you though, that my learning german, has been a crazy adventure, because all of the strange words, and the 3 meanings for 'Sie" or “sie”, and the monster words that are just almost a sentance in themselves…

i live in Leipzig, 60 miles northwest from dresden. It’s a beautyfull town too and i love to be there. I thought you american guys love the Blasmusik ???
Yes, I can imagine that it’s hard to learn German: you have the “the” - we have the “der” “die” “das” depending on the gender of things (for objekts too). But the “monsterwords” we use are (in most cases) simply concatenated words like you use but without spaces: you say “the supply troups”, we say "Die Versorgungstruppen ", were Versorgung is supply and truppen is troups. Actually easy but maybe you wonder about the “s” between the “Versorgung” and “truppen” - I cannot say why but its necessary only examples, there are a lot of such things, therefore : LERNEN LERNEN MARSCH MARSCH.
Ok post me the stuff and i will do my best, but i will be on vacation from next friday to 29th.
