WW2 Italian pilot found buried inside his aircraft

I seem to have a knack of finding WW2 related articles as of late. LOL! Check out this story:

I just happened to stumble across this article this morning. I’m sorry for being kind of morbid about this but I wonder just how much of the pilot they found. I think the article stated that one witness saw it nose dive in. The thought of two and a half tons of metal slamming into the ground at 300 mph full of fuel and ammunition makes me wonder just how much of ANYTHING could be left behind or recognizable.

Bear in mind that I am NOT doubting the article!!! It’s just that you see a video of a car crash test being executed at 55 mph and the car is pretty well bashed up.

May the pilot rest in peace and I truly hope the discovery can bring closure to his family.
