I wanted to share my most recent completed diorama featuring a Russian Lanchester armored car by Copper State Models. It was my first experience working on a kit by CSM and it was a great time. Nice fitting and straightforward build. I also painted Russian armored car crew members, infantry, and a Russian dragoon (all from CSM) to go with the diorama. The scene depicts the car crew and some infantry taking a rest by a shallow river, only to be disrupted with new orders to move out as part of the oncoming Brusilov Offensive in the summer of 1916. Nicely done. Great scene, model and figures. So many great details like the leather boot folded over and the soldiers feet in the creek. Very nice dio.

Thank you! This was by far my most ambitous project yet and took me a lot longer than I anticipated, but I am happy with the result!

This is a beautiful scene finished with great care and attention to detail. I particularly like the way the old world (the horse and rider) meets the new (the armored car). The lush greenery, the water and the dusty roadway make for an engaging scene. Your figure work is most impressive too with the tones and details of the uniforms brought out with skill. I like the way you have finished the armored car as well.

Thank you! I really appreciate it! One of the reasons WW1 is my favorite modeling subject is the intersection between the old world and the new world at such a dramatic scale. It creates so many potential scenes for dioramas

A triumph of a project! The wood grain on those Winchester muskets is particularly striking, and I also think that folded-over boot and the soaking feet are brilliant touches that bring the whole thing to life. And the fact that you achieved excellent animal hair effects on not one but two different critters is highly impressive!
