Want to do a WW1 trench scene showing a British tank climbing over a trench, but there are few options I can find for WW1 German gear, ammo boxes, weapons, etc to throw in the trenches to make them look used. Also WW1 German infantry maybe scattering from the trench. Any source to go to out there? It would be in 1/35 scale. Would like to do more WW1 modeling, but not much out there to choose from.

I guess I’ll stay with my “cheap” kits. Except sometimes the kit is the cheapest thing after you buy all the other stuff that you want to go with it.
The ICM figures are good but the head sculpts could use swapping with resin ones. Far as the trenches and accessories they all can be scratch built affordably.
I just completed a WWI vignette and the only commercially purchased items were the ICM figure, a resin character head and a package of Mill putty. A fellow modeller from our club gave me two WWI German storm trooper helmets and a resin cap badge for the display. WIP photographs were not taken as the work was done with the contest deadline looming and completed 1:00am the morning of the contest! Everything you see below was scratch built for little or no cost:
