my bro has a black one like that it’s in the driveway collecting dust no time or money for it anymore since the wife and kids came along he raced it a couple of times

Is there any other kind of AMX? My 1968 was light metalic blue, the 1969 was dark metalic green, and my 1970 is Matador red, 390, 4bbl carter AFB, 4 speed, close ratio steering, factory mag wheels, and a few other factory goodies. These were second only to Shelby’s true sports cars (true two seaters) in road handling performance. See the JoHan web site. They injection mold the 1969 model year. I think it was a limited production run. The folks that are doing these old JoHan models are turning out some other oldies as well. Sorry this is a car forum item, but as long as it started here I trhought it would be OK to post it. Besides, isn’t the other AMX an armoured vehicle? That is a sweet 1968 and it looks like it is Matador red, but it could be the bright red. It is hard to tell from the picture.
