World War Two Aircraft Group Build-Aug.18 - ?

I am going to do the Airfix 1/24 scale Ju-87B. I have the instrument panel finished and am working on the pit. Here is a couple photos.

Richard

Here is the next installment. Now on to the power plant which is another kit unto itself.

Richard

Another great looking cockpit Richard. Really like the looks of the belts. PE?

Jerry

Nice looking pit Richard.

Thanks Jerry and Marc. Yes Jerry, they are Eduard PE belts. Now for step - the powerplant.

Richard

Now I am ready to close up the patient. The inside of the fuselage is finished and the everything seems to fit well so far. Did have a couple of minor fit problems inside the fuselage but it was easily corrected. Here is what Stuka looks like now. With the first photo is an overall view, the second is the gunners compartment and the final is the pit.

Richard

An update on the gunners seat. I found a drawing of the seat belt assembly and used spare belt parts to build it up.

Richard

Is it too late to join this Build?

I’ve got a Hasa Me109 G10, which I started on a couple of months back and which ground to a halt. I’ve not even painted the cockpit yet!

Richard The Stuka pit looks great.

Ya’ll might want to check here:

For whatever reason the build took on a life of it’s own in the aircraft forum and never migrated to the GB forum.

Hey all. All of the builds at this time look great. As for me I have had no time for builds. I am trying to find a new job and all. That is taking all of my time. Will check back soon.

No worries R-CMan… we will all be here waiting for ya.

Thanks Karl. Here are some updated photos of the Stuka. I have the fuselage closed, the tail assembly done and the wings attached.

Here is one for a size comparison. The P-40B is 1/32 scale so you can see the Stuka was a large aircraft.

Richard

Where do I find the GB badge?

Richard

It is on the first page of the GB, I believe that it is on the thread that is in the Aircraft Forum. Should be able to save it to your computer from there.

blkhwkmatt - was not able to locate the GB badge.

Finally got back to the Stuka. Here it is ready for primer.

Richard
