World at War 1939-1940 Group Build

I’d love to participate could you please TBA. Another great theme.

Thanks, Terry

And we’d love to have ya, Terry! Welcome aboard.

Lt. going through a few kits, I’d love to build a German Kleiner Panzer I based in Holland 1940 by Dragon in 1/35. Thanks, Terry

It’s a sharp-looking little vehicle. I’ve seen them running around in the old film footage. Nice choice.

My Devastator is the 1/48 Monogram kit.Built this kit as a kid - I’ve been wanting to do this model for quite a while

Steve

Yes, The Chi Ha is a Japanese medium tank which fought in China and believe it or not, against the Russians, in the battles of Khalkhin Gol, July 1939.

Steve

Sounds good, Steve. I’ll add that info to the front page.

Never had the Devastator, but I had some of those other Monogram Navy aircraft, too, as a kid: the Dauntless that dropped a bomb; the Avenger that launched a torpedo. Most had retracting landing gear and even folding wings, where applicable.

Best of all, they came with crew figures.

Great, Steve. I’m looking forward to seeing it. Until fairly recently, I don’t think Japanese armor got much attention.

I’d like to join with an Italeri Opel Blitz

Glad to have you join, Greg. Is the Blitz in 1/35?

There are 21 days of peace left.

CMK02,

I would really enjoy joining this one, but I have two to finish up by the end of the year and that’s enough for me with my build rate!

Will be watching!

Gary

Yes, it is.

Thanks. This one will be a challenge as in this case I will be trying to replicate a specific scene using a small number of photo’s. Normally my dio’s are more general scene not based an any specific photo’s. I will need to damage up the glider a little which I have not done before. On the plus side, these aircraft were freshly painted in RLM 02 just before the attack so there’s no weathering or markings to apply.

Terry, looking forward to that one. I was thinking about doing one of my Dragon Pz I’s until the DFS 230 project popped into my head. I don’t have the command version yet, so I will defiantly be keeping an eye on this one.

Go ahead and sign me up Tamiya 1/35 French Char B1 Bis

Regards, David

The GB lasts until 31 December, 2015, Gary, so if you clear the decks before then, you’re welcome to join at any time.

Thanks, Greg; I’ll add the scale to the build list.

I’ve damaged plenty of models in my day, Bish–but never on purpose! Battle-damage is probably an art form in itself. I look forward to seeing your technique.

Welcome, David. Glad to have you sign on. The participant list has been updated. Good to have something French included.
