Working on this one

Here’s the Promodeler Bf 110 G4 with a Verlinden detail set. I’ve been a working on this puppy for some time now (interior, engine, gun bay, wheel wells, flying surfaces, etc.) so it might be a while before this is done. Just thought I’d share the cockpit while you can still see it ! I do have a Squadron canopy for it , though. Can anyone recommend an aftermarket supplier for decals ? The only ones I have used are Aeromaster, I love them, but I want exposure to other companies out there. Thanks much ! Pix I love the flare pistol and paper on the rear seat. They’re molded in ! (resin)

Hi, Pix.
Microscale is a big decal manufacturer, I believe.

Good work so far on the 110. The way the belts are twisted gives a very convincing effect to the empyt seat.

Beautiful job so far on the tub. I bet the fished bird looks even better! Definately looking forward to seeing it.

Thanks for the compliments. I always have a fear that details in a cockpit painted RLM 66 will be lost. I was lucky this time. I liked the interior so much that I bought a Squadron vac canopy for it. I’m toying with the idea of removing the “glass” from the injected piece, sanding it down, and installing the vac over it. Has anyone ever tried this ? Thanks again, Pix.

Hey Pix,
Nice job my man…!!! How fine of a brush did you use to detail the dials??

Hello, Butz ! I use a #OOO for the detail stuff. I have a large Bausch & Lomb magnifier attached under my lights. It has the small higher power magnifier in it. I always use only one eye in it, though, as there is noticable distortion otherwise. Glad you like the “pit pic from Pix !” Talk to you later, Pix.

Hey Pix,
What scheme are you going to paint her?? Actually what is most important, what group??
Flaps up, Mike

Hiya, Pix… Super nice job. You might try Super Scale and Eagle Strike for decals for your bird. They’re carried by most good shops. Keep the photos coming  - Ed

I looked at some Eagle Strike decals today. I believe they were called “Nocturnal Birds of Prey.” There was one with a “wurm” scheme that looked interesting. If I get them, I’ll scan it and post in this topic. I did a post earlier about the decals yellowing on some of my older models. Unfortunately, I had about 100 planes damaged when I moved. That kind of limits the # of scenes that I can create, but I’ll try. Pix. Oh, yeah ! I just added a pic to my profile. You may get a kick out of it ! Me in a Hamp !
