Just ordered them TJ :joy: Thank you again Sir. Great price point also… I was expecting them to be a lot more for 3’x2’.

Sounds like a great workstation Don, and practical. Thank you.

I have stuff all over the place. At least it’s organized. At least, to me.

The small workstation. For small projects.

The big workstation. For the 1/200 Titanic I’m working on. Yes, that’s a pool table. We didn’t play much.

My spray booth station. Which, 11 months after setting up, I still haven’t actually used yet for airbrushing :grimacing: . Finally got around to sitting at it a few days ago, getting familiar with the ergonomics and the airbrush I want to start learning with and discovered the kit I bought didn’t come with a proper airbrush holder. Ordered an Iwata Universal Holder off Amazon. Coming on Saturday.

Repurposed bookshelf from, well…books…to modeling stuff! Top shelf has aftermarket kits for my 1/200 Trumpeter Titanic. Bottom shelf is my tiny stash. Middle shelf has a small portable decaling station I put together. All the rest is painting and airbrushing related.

This is not a workstation. Just mostly paint related storage. Lots of empty spaces. I’m prepared for the future!

Airbrush cleaning station, paint shaking station, and charging station. In the laundry room.

Also in the laundry room. Five more shelves of scale modeling stuff! Tools, styrene, sandpapers, general stuff, yada, yada, yada.

Cheers,
Mark

All bench pictures are great. You might have a little something on your desk that someone else is looking for; or an arrangement or tools.

Keep the pictures coming!

Here is my mess that I have to take care of. It’s a work bench I got 50 years ago as a kid. I’m in the basement wash room and the spray booth is vented outside.

68GT,
That’s great you’ve had your workbench that long Sir. It looks great!

Hey whatever it takes and what ever works for the space you have! Another dyi spray booth!

Looks much better once things are cleaned up and there aren’t parts to 20 builds (and other things) on it.

Booth is actually a Paasche vented out through a dryer vent and I got a great deal on it.

My bench is a six foot workbench I bought from Menards. It has a peg board that I mounted six three foot nail polish racks for paint storage. It has an upper shelf and a large lower shelf. My only complaint is that it sits high and that I need to use a stool.

@68GT : That’s frickin’ awesome that you’ve still got the same workbench you had as a kid Ed. I didn’t know what a work bench for modeling was until I was in my 40’s on my second “go” at scale modeling. lol

@Nicosd : Regardless of how high up the bench is, you sure have a good paint rack. Nicely organized bud.

By the way:

This thing has just about anything built on it. Plastic models, Estes rockets, bird houses, carbs, outboard motors, toploaders, reupholstering seats and the last 15 years has just been models. Funny thing is that when I got back into modeling I used a a plastic folding table for a while like others have mentioned until I dragged this bench out of my parents basement.

Nicosd, what do you have going on for a paint rack on that peg board?

Is it something like this?

Hey TJ, I’ve been thinking about getting the jig you have in your spray booth. How useful is it for you?

I like it alot. When glueing landing gear or armament on the underside its like a third hand. Also when decaling or painting its very handy.

[/quote]LOL!! Too funny.

Quite a versatile work bench. lol

Here is my hobby room set up. IKEA drawer bases, IKEA tops. I made the hutches over the benches out of Melamine trimmed with Walnut. The arch light is a length of tile edging with LED strips attached (not my original idea). I supplement these with cheap photo lights attached to heavy copper grounding wire for positioning. The plastic units I store small items in are from a brand called “Marbrasse” on Amazon.

Each drawer has been customized by foam core board to organize the concepts, an idea I got from Adam Savage.
