Gino,
Is the package 1/35 Panda UH-1N Twin Huey or is it 1/35 Panda UH-1N Gunship?
Is there any difference in the parts or is there added sprues to make up the twin huey model?
Can’t get through on email?
Thanks Robert

Robert,
UH-1N Twin Huey. It is the same sprues as the UH-1N Gunship, minus the guns and rocket pods. Looks like this:
Gino,
Thanks for that mate, cleared it up!!
Are all UH-1N’s in Iraq painted the greyish color like this?
http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/details/cc/images/uh-1n-1.jpg
Or have they been seen with other color configurations?
Also is there a set side of the helo to place the .50cal and Minigun or do they swap them around to suit?
Thanks
Robert
Only the USMC still uses the UH-1N, and the current scheme is the two-tone grey. I have only seen them with the minigun on the left, and the .50 cal on the right. It would be pretty easy to change them, but I haven’t seen it any other way.
Ok Thanks for that Gino,
Still cant get through to you on emails keefs saying it is blocked or something like that.
So two tone grey it is then!
Thanks Again
Robert
Strange, I sent you an email. Let me know if you get it and try to reply to it.
Actually, I’ve seen more configurations with the minigun on the right side, and .50 cal on the left. There are plenty of references with either configuration, however, and they both would be acceptable. You might also want to consider throwing an M240G in the mix.
If you’re planning on doing a modern USMC Huey in Iraq, then I will highly recommend Cobra Company’s resin conversion and detail set for the Panda model. It’s an absolute must-have in my book. Here it is: http://www.cobracompany.com/35012.htm. And while you’re at it, their UH-1N weapons set is an absolute must-have as well. It includes the .50 cal, minigun, mounts, ammo bin, chute, and rocket pods: http://www.cobracompany.com/35013.htm.
Good luck. [tup]
Now Gino you know we agree on almost everything, but I know the USAF still flys the N model Huey, and I think the Navy is still using them for SAR at places like Fallon. In fact I plan on doing a Fallon bird with the red and white scheme, and the longhorns on the nose.
I will give you that they are still being used for SAR duties in a few places. As far as the UN-1N Gunship like Robert is looking to build, only the USMC uses them in that configuration and in a combat role. Is that better?[:D]
So by the sounds of it Snake it dose not matter which side to put the guns on. Have got both the CC UH-1N Upgrade and Weapons comming aswell ( with thanks to a good mate ) Do the resin set have instructions included?
Thanks Snake!
Robert
The CC resin sets have pretty good instructions. Study them carefully first, there are a few parts that are hard to ID and place, but not too many.
OK Thanks Gino,
That should make it a little easier.
CC dont have a downloadable set of instructions similar to Eduard Photo Etch?
That would be cool
Anyway Thanks For That
Robert
