Has anyone ever seen a wooden model kit of a Bell X1A. I found a couple plastic kits but am very interested in a wooden kit. If anyone has any info where I can find one it would be greatly appreciated.
I cannot recall seeing a wodden kit of the Bell X1A, but try Cleveland Model and Supply Co. Inc. For plans or possibly a kit.
The only ones I can find after a half-hour search are the Wood Desktop models, and no kits…
Only ones I’ve ever come across are the desktop models.
Though, considering the simplicity of the design, you could probably carve it yourself, in 5 or 6 pieces.

That is a thought. Could even possibly make teh fuselage on the lathe. I’ll have to think about that one. Thanks!
Cleveland Model & Supply company worked! Its not the X1A but they have plans for the X1. Thanks for all the responses.
I’ve got this one in my “to be built” pile.

Nicely done kit - not laser cut, but good plans, better wood.
That looks like a good one. Thanks
i to was looking for a wooden (balsa wood) bell X1A. Since i couldn’t find any i just tried make down to scale blueprint w/ my friend but it never really worked out
so all i can say is that you have to either make a custom model our ask someone to make you one
