Does anybody know about decals that imulate wood grain?
That would be sweet for P-51’s floorboards, automobile interiors, etc.

i saw them somewhere a while back,but i can’t remember
if you need to simulate wood, try this
lay a base coat or a tan (i use MM Italian Sand) let it dry annd then coat that with Future
when it’s all dry take a 1/4 flat brush and dip the tip in Future(lightly) then directly after dip it in some burnt umber artist OIL,treat is almost as drybrushing ,a little oil goes a long way,but if you go light and in one direction,it will give a very convincing woodgran, see the sides on the sopwith i did a while back
Woodbeck decals you can get them at www.greatmodels.com
Go to manufactuer and from the drop down menu select decals and scroll down to woodbecks.
Nice selection. thanks

I printed this cut it to shape for the floor…looked pretty good. You could use to make your decal too. It will tend to be transpanet so try different color undecoats to change the appearance. I ended up using a the wood wrapped on a cigar… looked better
Woodbeck Decals FTW.
Jeff’s a great guy to boot!
…or…if you’d like to try your hand with real wood visit a tobacco/cigar shop. some boxed cigars have a thin (like veneer thickness) sheet that seperates the layers of cigars. I have obtained various thicknesses in hopes of doing a Douglas World Cruiser with some.
