A very cool pic. Thanks for posting.

That’s pretty interesting to see what looks like a flat belly tank slung under the P-40. Gives one an interesting look at how they can tweak their model!

Wow! Don’t forget to duck!
Awesome! "Looks like plenty of air cover ahead- better keep your eyes peeled for Zeroes! Better not hit any more photographers- CO’d not be so nice this time! " ![]()

That '38 is right down there mowing the grass…impressive!
“Scatterbrain Kid”…I saw that aircraft fly at a CAF show in Harlingen when I was very, very young. Cool to see a photo of her ![]()

I wish I could have seen this one fly, but I was only about 1½ - 2 years old when it was destroyed. I think that first picture, down low with the feathered prop, kinda gives justification to the name, too! [:p]

Is that P-38 (first pic) down on the deck with one prop feathered? Awesome![:D]

And if it’s not too much trouble, may I ask you (on all the Forum users behalf) to keep 'em coming?

If that is from the same place, and it certainly looks it, it is definately from Empress Augusta Bay probobly 1 Nov 1943 the day of the initial landing
