If I remember right, this plane is now sitting at Pima A&S Museum
Another nice pic. Thanks for the post.
Regards, Rick
that’s a sweet looking bird. Does anyome make a 1/72 Connie?
Heller made one in 72nd. It’s at least 20 years old if not older and I know first-hand that it’s not a shake’n’bake kit. If you find one and build it, it’s gonna take some work… but it’ll be worth it me thinks…

Neat pic!
BTW…love the new ETO sig.
Thanks! Glad to hear that because I’m not sold on it myself! [:p]
Here’s another shot of ‘Columbine III’ with a TWA Connie in the background and a couple of Gooney Birds in the far background.

By the way, ‘Columbine III’ was a VC-121E Super Constellation, serial 53-7885. (c/n 4151)
She was originally built for the Navy as R7V-1 BuNo 131650 and diverted to be fitted as the Presidential Transport while still under construction. She was replaced in 1962 by the VC-137C and is now on display with the USAFM at Wright-Patt. in Dayton, Ohio.
