Wolf's Picture of the Day - 10 March 2005

This here is an He 111 of the Condor Legion receiving a bit of TLC from Günther and Heinrich. Günther looks like he’s gonna throw a wrench if Wilhelm doesn’t stop snapping away with his Leica…

Here’s a direct link to the full size photo. The forum resize won’t work correctly with this image and I’m really beginning to wonder why I can’t make a link to a Photobucket image in this forum… [censored]

A very interesting pic. I’ve always wanted to do a Condor He-111 using the Cutting Edge conversion. Maybe someday.

Well, I’m sure Swanny could give you a tip or two. I think he did an early He 111, although I don’t recall if he used the Cutting Edge set or not…

heck you come us with some interesting pictures, really enjoy the vast array you come up with, thanks

Neat picture. The cockpit/canopy sure looks unusual for a He-111.

Yeah, those early He 111s were a bit different looking, weren’t they? Here’s another shot of a couple Condor Legion Heinkels…

I’m trying to remember where these came from. I know they’re part of a private collection but I don’t recall the fella’s name.

Great pics BW!! Your caption cracked me up.

That is a really nice picture, not just the aircraft, but I like the “feel” of it. The man, the hangar, it was a different time!

Thanks for sharing /Johan

Yeah, it was a different time, wasn’t it? In some ways it was probably a nicer world than that we have today, and in some ways just as ugly… maybe even moreso.

Glad ya’ll like this one…
