  • 13th Heavy Company, 1st SS Panzer Regiment, 2nd Platoon, Tank S21, Ustuf. Michael Wittmann

  • 4th Heavy Company, SS Panzer Regiment Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, Feb. 1, 1943, Tank 405, Company COmmander Hstuf. Heinz Kling

  • 4th Heavy Company, SS Panzer Regiment Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, Feb. 1, 1943, 3rd Platoon, Tank 435, Ustuf. Helmut Wendorff

Any pictures, drawings, illustration regarding these tanks would be VERY welcome!

thanks guys…

Dougman,
welcome to the forums!
i am afraid i know almost nothing abt Wittman, but i am sure there are folks here who do.
they should be along shortly.
meanwhile, if you use the box near the top of the thread, you can search the forum for Wittman references.
i know there have been many.
good luck & welcome!

Dougman, Welcome to the forums, I have a book, “Tiger Ace” By Gary L Simpson, Published by Schiffer Military History. This book has a lot of info on Whittman. It might be able to help you out. I was thinking about doing an entire display of all the vehicles that he served in and that book was extremly helpful in the initial research for info on the vehicles. Be advised tho its thick and expensive. But like I said its worth it for the info and pictures.

I have the Tiger Ace book as well, it is an excellent reference, although sometimes the German to English translation is a little weird.

I know that the tamiya late version comes with decals and paint scheme foe his 007 tank which a firefly took it and him out. Other than that that is all I know about him.

Tamiyas Early version comes with decals for his SO4 Tiger with kill rings
heres some sites with some info but not much sorry

Hi, guys, thanks for welcoming me to the forum… It’s nice to see so many fellow modellers here… And i’m sure you are all better modellers than I am… [:D]

I found two books, “TIger I on the Eastern Front”, and “Tiger I on the Western Front”, they are both written by Jean Restayn, published by Histoire & Collections. I was about to found the Tank 205, 007, and 435 on these two books. however still looking for more marking details and paint schemes … If you guys are interested I can scan these pictures! [:)]

If you guys got any links to website or images could you send it to me?
thanks guys~!
