Wirblewind Diorama

Hi Ya’ll, This is an old diorama I built about 6 years ago for a stug III It was supposed to be on the Eastern front. Now it has this Wirblewind built about 4 years ago on it as the stug is in the repair depot. I was very pleased with how the groundwork came out. The building and water trough were scratchbuilt. The pig came from one of those dime store toy farm play sets. It took about 3 hours to clean up and paint but I was happy with it.

Very cool Kenneth. Thanks for sharing.

I think those guys are thinking “bacon strips”

Looks great Kenneth.

Must be an early war dio, otherwise porky would be in the pan by now. Mmmm pork chops, aurrgggh.

Thanks ya’ll, I appreciate the comments…

Capt Caveman, The groundwork is all plaster of paris and real rock and dirt cover, thats painted. Plaster of paris is nice but you have to work FAST. Now I use celluclay i its place. The ruin is 1/4 inch MFD and plaster. The roof tiles are individual styrene tiles.
