WIP Revell B-25J Mitchell “FINITO BENITO NEXT HIROHITO 10/29/18

I got a chance to work on the build this evening as Ezra, my grandson went home. The house is too quiet! lol! Ezra helped me with the fueselage. It went together very well. The only issue I saw was the tail. It had a nice beautiful gap, fixing it with some Tamiya White putty did the job. lol!

I will go ahead and continue with the build. The next step will be sanding the putty on the tail and making adjustments as needed. Here is what has been completed. Thank you all for the support. I greatly appreciate it!

Looks familier[:P] did you have any trouble attaching the engines to the wings? I have a large seam/gap/ridge that I am having trouble getting rid of. I did find that the best way to attach the cowls was 2 part epoxy. I hope it helps: S_D

No Sailing_Dutchman, there were no issues in regards to the attachment of “engines to the wings.” I want to thank you so very much for all of your suggestions. It’s greatly appreciated.

Toshi, what is that device holding the airplane? Do you use that to hold the airplane when you paint?

It’s a Tamiya painting stand, comes as set. I have it too, works great. Mine is covered in paint! Lol.

Looking good Toshi!

After seeing Toshi use his paint stand, I had to get one. Its been great for both painting and to hold the model during assembly.

She’s coming along nicely Toshi! [Y]

Hey Toshi, sorry to hear about Mrs. Toshi (I’ve been away from the forums for a while so I’m just catching up). My thoughts and well wishes to you both.

This build is looking great. I’ll be following, as I have this kit in my stash too. Probably won’t get to it for a while, but I’ll be taking notes.

Cheers, Mark

Thank you MrStecks! Your thoughts and well wishes are greatly appreciated.

Lookin’ good so far Toshi. Prayers lifted up for the best out to you and Mrs. Toshi.

This image is from an old National Geographic magazine. I’d have to dig through the old magazine stash to find it.

Chris

Oh, wow thank you very much for the photo!!! I greatly appreciate this addition to this thread as well as build.

There was also this old ESCI 1/72 decal sheet. Unfortunately, it was printed in black, not red. I tried to re-print it in red some years ago, but it was a failure.

Chris

Thank you mustang1989! And I’m forever greatful for the prayers to Mrs. Toshi and I.
