wip- Revell 1/48 P-51D Mustang

working on this one, not the greatest kit around, but not to bad. well see how it turns out

interior. I used some 1/24 detail master PE seat belt buckles maybe not accurate but its all I had lol

for paint I used krylon dull aluminum, then after decaling shot on a mixture of flat base & future for the dull finish.

Very nice work.

Very nice work indeed. The paint/finish looks great. Cockpit is well done also. Looking forward to more progress pics.

Looking good so far. Keep us posted.

Regards, Rick

Wow- very nice! What paint did you use? Alclad? I have a Tamiya in the stash- not sure yet what paint I am going to use.

Rob

Nice work, she looks great, I love the krylon paint job. Decals look great, I cant do the big checkerboard ones to save my life.

The only thing I noticed is what most other builders miss. There are 2 small circles on the floor at each front corner of the seat, those are the fuel gauges for either the wing tanks or drop tanks.

Nice job. I almost bought this kit one time. I think this will be the next kit I will buy.

James-did you have any issues with the decals, especially the ones on the nose? You certainly did a fine job with them.

no issues, on the nose just cut the slits in them like they say in the instructions. microsol and a hairdryer make them lay down nice

I was wondering what they were! lol

krylon spray paint. its called dull aluminum , paint #41403 , i sprayed it with the airbrush though

Awesome Job!!! Mine sure didn’t turn out that good. Oh well guess I’ll just have to try again.

That is some very fine work so far! Your paint work and decals are especially well done.
