Jurgen, this is one fabulous build! Perfect paint, weathering, and some impressive work on that PE!
A very impressive Panther! [#toast]

Cheers doog. It was defintely a build of many firsts for me. Took me a while, but am pretty happy with how she turned out.
Jurgen.
Man, that is just beautiful. I really like the weathering with the streaks and such. Also the disc-pattern is rare and gives a nice to touch to the tri-camo. My one observation of the pattern from what I’ve seen, is that the discs touch more or even overlap, thus giving the unique bow-tie look to it. Just my observations, your refs might be different. Well done Jurgen.
Awsome i love it , the build and the painting are A1[tup]
I have an excellent article in an Armour Modelling magazine that shows how to replicate this–just the same way you did…this whole disc-scheme idea was discussed at some length about a year ago…this is one of the pics I still have from that thread that shows the tank you modelled:

The round overlays were photoshopped in to show the “discs” in the pattern…one of the ideas that was debated was that the disc scheme and the ambush scheme were really one in the same…
That is just beautiful! Done up “just right!”

You have my vote of approval!

marevic: We both finished our Panthers on the same day[#toast]…both G’s too…that’s got to be a first. I really like the paint scheme on this one…very unique. The tools and all the extra details look fantastic! Just the right amount of wear on the turret and I like the streaks on the front of the hull. Nicely done[tup][tup]…congrats…what’s next on your workbench?
Nice work! I love the wear marks on the hull sides where the spare tracks are missing. Get job on the disc pattern camo as well. I’ll save those pics for my reference. Always great to learn new techniques.
keep up the great work!!
Thats an awesome Panther! Very impresive Job from beginning to end.[bow] I’ve been obsessing about panthers here lately, I have a Jagdpather late built except for a few details and paint and finish and am drooling over a DML Panther A late, premium that I just got. I’d like to hit you up for advice when I start. What did you use for references if I may ask? I just ordered P. Jentz’s Panther book that was recommended to me.
Thanks for sharing! Doug
Thanks heaps boys!!! I really appreciate the comments.
Steve - Next build is a March '45 Wegmann King Tiger.
I’m actually a fair way through it at the moment and have got most of the paint work
done. Hopefully it’ll be done soon (fingers crossed).
Doug - I’ve got both the premium A and D waiting as well. They really are nice kits aren’t they.
I’m no expert on Panthers, but would be glad to help where I can.
As for references, the Jentz book is great. I found the Trojca Tank Power series on the
Panther an excellent reference as well. It’s an 8 volume series that covers all Panther
versions. Highly recommended.
cheers,
Jurgen.
Looks like the tanker far right suffered burns. I think I’d rather be infantry…
One word
OSEMNESS!!
I love it!
Hi! I hope you can help me find an answer. This very tank is being discussed in a group and no one can give a correct answer it seems. The issue is the unit insignia on the front of a flag vielding centaur. Obviously this isn’t the official Hermann Göring division insignia. Could someone PLEASE shed some light on this issue and maybe solve it once for all? Also, excellent build, I’m impressed!
Came out nice
A blast from the past…
Interesting subject the R01, and what an awesome build this is!
Help me out, what is the issue?
Regards
Johan
