WIP: KV-1B with some resin and PE parts (cont.)

This is a continue work for my Tmiya KV-1B upgraded with VP engine detail.
Working with the engine is a nightmare due to lack of reference pics. I did try VP asking if they are willing to share some, but got no reponds. So all of this was done using T-34 engine detail reference.

Basically the part where the fuel line injectors are connected to the engine head had to be drilled one-by-one, and the middle rail had to be scratch build.

The exhaust pipes are also scrach build from unused sprue. Just heat them up and bend 90 degrees.

The only part that is not yet there is the carburator head ? Dont know what they call.
But it will be install later after the tank has been completed.

Anyway, here it is folks.
C&C are always welcome and wanted.

I’m not into the whole correctness of these beasts, but it looks awesome to me! Your attention to detail just on the engine is stunning! Do you intend to expose the engine?

nice job,Ben–the coloration on the valve covers, top of the radiators, intake manifold looks great-- also the louvres on the sides look real good[tup]–treadwell

Fantastic. That is going to look sweet.

[:D] Dang.
That looks really [tup] good.
The colors [#toast] look super!

Thanks for the kind words guys.
The engine was a real pain in the you know what.

I’m glad this part is done. And yes, the engine cover will be open up to expose the engine.
Kinna sad not to expose it after all the hard work.

Speaking about the engine cover, that is also a pain to work.
I need to expand the resin cover about 1-1.5 mm to all sides.
I guess time for another surgery [xx(]
