I’m trying to get back in the saddle after a few yrs away…so many techniques to learn. I ’ m working on Academy’s K1A1 MBT…heres a few pics so far…

I added Rustoleum Textured paint to the anti-slip pads on the turret/ hull, and getting ready to shoot color!

You’re off to a good start. I will be looking to see how that Rustoleum works out once it’s painted. The piece I’m working on now I used a terra cotta texture paint for the non-slip.

I just found the post about the terra cotta paint, and really like how subtle the finish is…mine might be a bit course. I used it on my Chally II awhile back, and it looked very convincing on that…we’ll see.

Time to hit up the photo shops to get a few paint mixing bottles!! gotta love the 35 mm film …if anyone still uses them???

heres a few pics of my latest work…

I tried to show the anti-skid texture …doesn’t look too bad to me. I have the outlines in place for the wood brown color, but its taking awhile to dry . Hope everyone likes it so far…its been a lot of fun so far.
