I am definitely heading to this airshow on Saturday morning so I am going to head over tommorow afternoon after work with my father to spend the night with my brother and my nieces and nephew then go to the airshow and head back home afterwards. So other than spare clothes I’ll be bringing my camera so I can get some pics of the aircraft and the theme this year is the Korean War and the featured aircraft will be a T-33 and and F-86 and Panchito will be making an appearance.
Would have gone to Wings over Alpena in 2010 but we couldn’t get out there due to my father having a gall bladder attack and needing surgery a week later.
I have pictures I’ll post them tommorow as I just got home and will want to relax but I did get quite a few shots of Panchito including a closeup of the greenhouse and one of the engines. Also got quite a few closeups of a A-10 and EA-18 Growler. And some good pics of the F4U-5 Corsair F-86F and T-33 both on the ground and in the air. There was definitely enough pyrotechnics to make Hans Von Hammer proud as those were provided by the Commemorative Air Force I think I got a sunburn from the Napalm run at the end of the show I felt the heat from it even though it was several hundred feet away.
