Wingnut Wings new releases.

First let me say I love the quality and buildability of their kits. Now below is a link to show their three new kits.

Now the Felixstowe’s look nice, I particularly like the late models paint scheme in red and white chevrons. They are big kits too at 36 inches but with the cost and imprt duties I just cant see me ever buying one as it would be well over $300.

I know we all complain about the price of some kits and I dont want to do that here but I could buy a lot of other kits for that money.

Phil

I just ordered a kit from them and it’s costing $99 delivered. It’s the first one I’ve tried from them and I’m looking forward to it.

Is it the Felixstowe mentioned above?

No, it’s a Junkers J.1

I just looked at the catalog and saw some of the prices and was surprised at how high some are.

Those big flying boats look nice. Wow I just finished the Roden one in 1/72 and it is BIG.

Those paint jobs on the late ones were unique to each aircraft. All of those side profiles are printed in the Windsock edition, a little surprised WnW can reprint, but do get the book if you build the kit.

On mu wish list is the Hansa Brandenburg W.29 but its OOP now and really expensive.

Hey, GM…if you’d like you can get a W.29 from Wingnuts again. It’s “only” $350 U.S., but it includes an early Felixstowe as well. They re-released the W.29 as part of a Duelist set, like they did with DH.2 and Eindeker.

Umm…thanks! If anyone wants to go in on that, I’ll chuck in some money for the floatplane.

I had stated a thread about the same thing over in Gen’l Stuff section… why there even I don’t know. [:S] As soon as I saw that was coming out I had my sights set on it. I knew it would be pricey but when I got the WNW email with the real number of $269 it was still a shock.

I’ve got one…freaky, scary, AMAZING detail and tooling quality. Just incredible. It’s astounding how much they put into their kitsets. Absolutely stunning quality - in every respect.

If you can’t afford the Felixstowe, get any one of their other kits - believe me - you WON’T be disappointed.

WOW ! I’m shocked and cant believe that the pricing has gone so inflated. Bet it’s a beautiful well engineered kit…
