Windows Revell 68 Mustang

Hello, I’m working on the Revell 68 Mustang kit. This is my first car in a long time and I’m trying to figure out how to handle the glass. Here is the kit:

And here is the glass:

As you can see, the windshield and rear glass is molded in one piece that extends over the interior roof. The instructions show that the glass is installed as one piece, holes in the roof fitting pegs in the car body. I was thinking of painting the roof part black (interior color), then install the glass after painting the body and applying BMF to the trim. Thoughts? Thanks for your help!

Coat the two parts that stay clear with Future after painting the liner black. And no CA.

Sometimes the chrome trim of the windows is also molded onto the glass so you have to account for that as well.

Hello !

Follow " G " Morrison’s advice .That’s what I do too . T.B.

You may have to separate the two windows to get the best fit for each one. If so, be very careful when cutting as clear polystyrene is more brittle than pigmented stuff.

I use clear 5 min epoxy on glass parts.
