Wiking Division 1945, completed

Here is a Dragon 1/16 scale figure painted in Vallejo acrlics:

Budho,

Your work really stands out!

Thanks M1!

Finished pics:

Absolutely perfect!

Thanks Doog, Im sure we can find some errors!

…awesome work…stunning!!!..if I had to make some suggestions it would be to pay a little more attention to the gaiters and shoes…you could pick out a little more detail in that area, such as buckles, laces…etc…great work w/ face and camo…

Beautiful! This may convince me to buy a few bottles of Vallejo.

That is just magnificent. Hope you don’t mind if i save your pics for future reference? Your flesh painting is right on the mark. Top marks for this one…

Just one thing and this has nothing to do with your skills, but more the kit itself. The only thing i do not like about this figure is the way the weapon is held. It just looks so off balance. Personally i think you would be struggling to hold a weapon like that for long…

Again, magnificent work.

Boomer…

Maybe the figure is supposed to be caught mid-stride? That would explain it…

Thank you everyone for your comments snd suggestions!

Oh for goodness sakes dont give him to much credit , after all it runs in the family right Buddho??

Love ya Big Brother keep it up …One Day maybe you could build one something for your Nephew …

I think the pose of the gun would look more natural if the strap was slung around his shoulder and he was just holding onto it… would balance it out a bit I think! Dan, great job as always my friend! Sorry I was late getting to it!

I was thinking, whenever i get to my figure, to modify the hand slightly to hold the gun by the magazine instead. I think you would only have to move the thumb a small bit. But i also have him pegged for a serious alteration for a viginette i have in mind…

Boomer…

This looks great, Dan. The camo’ is nicely done too, well done man.

…this exact figure is also avail in 1/35th in a DML Wiking fig kit…

Thanks again everyone…think I will sling the strap over his R.H. shoulder.
