Why dont model companies include pilots with their kits? 1/72 scale helo pilots are like hens teeth. All 1/72 scale pilots actually. Just wondering.
You’re right. I was also looking for chopper pilots for my 1/72 Longbow…
Czech Master’s Kits has two 72 scale helo sets
1)CMK 72076 LRRP US Helo Crew Vietnam
2)CMK72080 US Helo Crew Vietnam
Ch
hmmm - no 72scale helo pilots in my collection - only naval & jet fighter guys!
interesting!!!
Hasegawa’s AH-1S/F kit has really nice pilots, and the ones in their AH-64A and Hind are passable. (All to 1/72nd scale) I don’t think Italeri has ever included pilots in any of their kits (except moulds they picked up, like ESCI.) Matchbox has generic prop and jet pilots, but I don’t think they populated their helicopters either.
Just gotta keep grinding off those oxygen masks…
i got the same problem with my hind, i need pilots and soldiers in the back. i plan on getting another hind kit that comes with them to put in my current one.
Currently the Army and the Navy wear the same survival vest, the AIRSAVE. Each unit can have its AIRSAVE in a different configuration according to its SOP, based on mission requirements. If you have a modern Navy pilot/crewmember figure, a little modification (no oxyen mask, unless doing a helicopter configured for a high altitude mission, also, the life preserver unit (LPU) would be acceptable as many Army helicopter units are taking on overwater missions) should pass as an Army Aircrewmember.
