I’m about to start on the 1/48 Tam F4U-1D but I do not want to use the recommended AS-8. What is the correct substitute in Acrylics for this color? I have the flat XF-17 flat sea blue and wonder if that is close and if so will finish up with a semi-gloss coat. I prefer Gunze paints and they have (or had) a ‘navy’ blue that looks close but it has been out of stock for quite some time at Squadron.
So what would you guys suggest?
