Just back off the road (Two solid weeks of Deer Hunting[xx(] ) Very tired…
I have been trying to read up on all thats going on in the thread in the last two weeks…LOTS. I can’t wait till Dec 1 I spend many hours in a tree stand thinking of what I wanted to do with my Panther… Camo, Diorama Ideas ect… I am pumped about it. I think I just about have it nailed down at least for today.
Same here. I spent around 5 days on a special hunt and all I thought about was getting back home to my family and my kits.
Worst of all,I didn’t even get a shot at a buck.
The only bucks I saw were on the move (about 500 mph through the tree’s).
Well I do know my projects will not get up and run off the table when I walk in the room.
Dang… sorry guys. I thought i had messed up the post. I would have responed to these messages. I guess the “post topic” and "post reply"are too close together for me. I meant for this to end up in the Panther group build thread…oh well
Anyway. Thanks for the welcome back. Its good to be back. We did video several BIG bucks being taken and spent many many cold mornings sitting in a tree.
PS… for all those who are wondering… the “Look at this” was in ref to all the post in the Panther group build thread since I had been gone. Sorry for misleading…
Chris,
I work for an outdoor television show so we have the oportunity to hunt some big ones. The average deer WE take is about 140-150 inches. However the people we film average more around 160-180 because they are paying customers to an outfitter. I videoed a 223 inch buck taken a couple of weeks ago at a cost of a measley 27 grand.
You are right about Canada Chris. We actually have a guy in northern Alberta right now filming a deer hunt. When I was up there last spring bear hunting the outfitter that we work with had piles of sheads of deer upwards of 200 inchs. It was amazing. The outfitter we have working with us is awsome. He does sheep hunts in the northern territories and BC. His name is Chris too…weird.
