chuckw put more into his Bf110 in regards to hours, AM accessories, effort and animation than most here will devote to modeling in the next 10 years building. Do not get me wrong his work is legendary and really he should build 1/15 scale for museum pieces. I did enjoy dropping in his thread now and they yet it was over whelming in scope & scale of the volume of posts and material contained there within. Beyond a good article it would make for a excellent reference book on everything Bf110 & how to model it.
The thing I like about FSM and the forums is it really is about average Joe’s building better models. Don’t feel intimidated posting your work, do have thick skin as some (its the internet) tend to be pessimistic towards anything short of perfection. The best thing about your current model…is the very next one will be a bit better. Besides who decides what a perfect model is? If its to your satisfaction and you had a enjoyable experience building it, perhaps learned or tried a new technique then it was a ‘perfect’ build.
Thanks for the encouragement, SuppressionFire, …I meant the post more as a toast to Chuck than an apology for my own efforts. His work is really in rare air, and I sure enjoyed his willingness to share his trials and tribulations along with his successes. Yeah , he could write a book, but he gave it to us for free, and many thanx!
I’ve spent the past year plus lurking in the FSM forums after deciding to return to the hobby as it is today, a much more detail oriented and skilled pursuit, and more rewarding 'cause there’s a lot of interest in the history of the subjects. So the first order for me has been to build a decent stash, set up a bench, and work thru a couple “crash test dummies”. (A closeout Monogram Tomcat came in really handy).
Come first of the year, I intend to get into a GB or two to get some focused feedback and enjoy the company.

Sounds like a good plan. My only advice is to remain true to the hobby and try to stay clear of the pi$$ing matches that seem introduce themselves here sometimes.
Working on a dio incorporating my M-36 Jackson and a shot up Panther G model. Unfortunately I seem to have found a liking for spending a lot of time scratch building and installing PE and resin. The Panther had been completely assembled buttoned up but my friend Panzerjager talked me into opening it up and putting in an interior including a cast resin turret basket.
I’d be happy to show pics but Photopukit won’t let me access my pics! Until I can find another site to upload pics to I’m out of action. I’ve had it with photopukit.

P.S. It also didn’t help that the mother in law passed away last week, my wife’s been taking it pretty hard so not much time for modelling.
So sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I have numerous kits/builds in the hold pattern because of the need to attend to declining health issues with my in-laws and my mother. Funny how life has a way of sneaking up on you.
