I hear that it’s possible to replace the black ink cartridge with a white ink cartridge on some bubble jet printers. Is this true? Is white ink even available for bubblejet printers? That would be great if so for creating white stencils and other white decals on clear decal paper.
This question is kinda pertinent based on two reasons:
- I plan to create custom decals for the F8F-1 I’m currently building.
- I need to replace some decals that shredded on my SB2C cuz they are obviously very old since this was an old kit.[banghead][censored][:(!]
So… is stenciling white decal paper the only option if white ink cannot be acquired?
No they dont…Bummer huh…[|(]
You could if you HAD an Alp’s. There out of production. But there very rear now. And is alot of money too.
I think the pic of the Bearcat in my signiature below is of one of the first Bearcats. Not sure. I need someone to confirm that. But right now, that is the one I’d like to create decals for.
I do have acces to a color laser printer. Not sure if it prints white though. I’ll need someone to confirm that too I suppose.[:D]
you can get white decal paper for making your own decals. Only thing is you need trim the printed result very close and very carefully.

You could also paint the place where the decal comes, white and still use your transparent decalpaper
Ordered white decal paper. Good to make insignias and such with white and other colors. Now… where to find the art work other than my own left-overs… hmmmm.
