Hey Guys,
Listen. I’m having a bit of a dilema here. I’m placing an order with Great Models and was going to have them throw in the Battle Axe Beechcraft 18 because I thought it would be a cool one to do. I made the mistake of hopping over to ebay and saw that someone has the OOP Classic Airframes Lockheed Hudson MK III-VI up for auction. These are both cool planes, but since they are both expensive, I can only justify getting one. (Especially since I blew $200 at the LHS yesterday.) If it were you, which would you get? If you have built one of these, what would you do in retrospect?
~ Thanks

Go with the Hudson. I’ve heard the fit is bad on the Beech. There was a review of this kit in FSM a while back.
I’d also go for the Hudson and hope Classic Airframes does a Beech 18 down the road somewhere.
I’ve heard bad things about the fit regarding all Battle Axe kits, similar to what you hear about Mach 2 and some Foundrie Miniature stuff.
Don’t know what it is with those French limited run outfits, they gotta get their act together.
Definitely the Hudson. The Battle Axe Beech is a terrible kit.
Regards, Rick
The Hudson is WAY cooler. Classic shape and design. I’d get that one!
Just a quick update. As all of you suggested, I went for the Hudson. WOOHOO! I think the only way I could be more excited is if I got a real one.
I won it today on eBay. God, I love eBay. Thanks for all of the advice guys.

Congradulations!
Post pics when you’re done!
Good stuff.
Man, what’s wrong with you?!? [:)]
Good choice on the Hudson. Those Battle Axe kits… well… sometimes they look like you need a battle axe to work on 'em. They’re some of the ugliest models I’ve seen. Not quite as ugly as Pegasus, but close…
Fade to Black…
