my mom just bough it for me with out my knowledge, and it does not say on the box which varient it is.
If it is anything like their release in the '80’s then it’s an early lot -A model, sans LEX fences-the little strake above the intake on the top part of the leading edge extension. The LEX fences may be included in the kit now, since all the Legacy Hornets( -A thru -D) were retrofitted with them. - Calvin
Without getting out a reference book, I’d have to say the A version just because the strakes are not pictured. Hope this helps.

OK thanks for the clairification, I wanted to know cause from the little research i did i can already tell that the cockpit is inacurate and wanted to know the varient so i know which after market parts i need to get, and on the subject any suggestions as to which to get?
It’s a Testors kit. Thier SBD Dauntless (ex-Hawk) has fetures of all the major variants!
