Which M4A3 105 mm Howitzer ?

OK…To all those Sheman people out there, which is the best kit of the M4A3 105 mm Howitzer. Is it Tamiya, Dragon or Academy? Why?

I going to get on to fill my howitzer collection but I’m stuck in a cloud of muzzle blast (smells good). Someone clear the air for me.

Thanks

i’d say dragon i’m building mine now (making it snowy) nice detail

Have a read here on the comparisons btn the HVSS DML and Academy ones

DML has mantlet issues. Acad has a mishmash of parts, Tamiya shows its age (also not HVSS).

If I wanted the most accurate one, I’d start w/DML and fix the turret probs. I’ve used the Tamiya M4A3 (105) to backdate to an M4 (105) and it’s still a good kit – probably Tamiya’s most accurate 1/35 Sherman OOB, IMHO

I have the Dragon M4A3 105mm HVSS sitting in a box. I’m waiting to go to my brothers house to get a start. From what I can see the kit looks pretty good.

How is Tank Workshop’s Turret for the 105mm Howitizer M4? Does it have the correct mantle?
