I recentlly (more like a month actually) bought an Accurate Miniatures TBM-3D at my local Hobby Lobby. Usually Accurate Miniatures is really good at telling you how to go about building the two different variants that usually accompany their kits. However, this one’s instruction booklet is a bit of an anomoly . They show the usual stuff for the two differing variants (decal markings and paint schemes), but they don’t tell you which instrument panel to use for the carrier version, or which one to use for the Fort Lauderdale version.
I’ve tried searching the net and have come up dry. I contacted Accurate Miniatures and have yet to hear anything back. I figured I’d try here and see what happenned. The plane I’m planning to build is the TBM-3D of VF(N)-90 if that helps. And here are some photos of the panels if those help too. Which one do I use for the plane I’m building? The one with the flat top, or the one with the curved top?
