Which gauge wiring for leds?

would 30 awg wire be good to use in models or should i use something else??

30 AWG should work, but it really depends on the application (if the wire will be visible or not, and if yes, what does it represent, i.e. is the scale right?) and on the size of the LED itself. The ones I used most recently were so small I needed #38 magnet wire to hook them up. Everything I know about wiring I learned from ngineering.com, a website that sells lighting components aimed at railroaders, but good for all sorts of apps:

trying to hide wire best a s possible and i mostly use smd, and 3mm leds sometimes 5mm.
