I’m going to be getting the 1/32 Tamiya F-16CJ in a few weeks, and I already have the Superscale sheet for the 50th anniversary of the 115th Fighter Wing from my homestate. I know the kit is incredible, but I’m not sure which version the decals are for. I know that they would have been on a plane from 1998, if that helps, seeing as that was the 50th anniversary of the unit’s formation. Does anyone know the specifications of the plane these decals are for? If so, do you know how much effort would be needed to backdate/update the Tamiya kit to be at those specifications? Any aftermarket kits that I would need? Thanks!
Hi Mike,
If you’re referring to this aircraft it’s an F-16C Block 30H, according to the tail number (87-278)

Close, it’s 87-234, an f-16C Block 30F, great site, by the way!
Anyone know what I need to do to bring the Tamiya kit to these standards?
Not be a stick in the mud, tell ya what to do, or anything, but do you think you could resize that siggy pic so your posts fit on my monitor without needing to use the slider bar to read your posts? 1024 x 768 is rather big for signatures…
Maybe just post the thumbnail instead of the big one…
I had made it small originally, it’s really small on my computer, is it still huge? It appears big on the screen where I edit my signature, maybe there’s a glitch somewhere.
I posed the same question a couple of years ago, and received some sound advice from Jake Melampy (author of the Viper Guide, best F-16 reference work IMHO). You might find this thread helpful…
Block 30 F-16
HTH!
Less than 1% would know one variant from another… the -16CJ kit is awesome! Build it OOB and add your WIANG decals…no one would know if it wasn’t the specific block…but you. [:#]

Yeah… Huge… 1024 x 768 pixels in size…
Try using the URL of the thumbnail in Photobucket rather than the pic itself’s URL… Right-click on thumbnail, select “properties”, then copy that URL. Paste it into your siggy window using the little filmstrip icon…
I’m only seeing a tiny lil pic of a Pz.II - smaller than a 1:1 postage stamp on a 22.5" screen
