Just wondering what type of adhesive you’d recommend for bonding a large PE brass deck (1/72 Revell HMCS Snowberry) to the plastic hull? I was thinking 2 part epoxy but any other suggestions would be really helpful. The deck piece sits atop the hull so there’s a contact area of about 2 to 3mm.

Your thinking is correct. 2 part epoxy is the cement of choice IMO to join those materials, as long as the adhered surfaces are free of any finish.
As a first step, with a piece of brass that big, I would first lightly roughen the bonding surface with sandpaper and then give it a bath in something like vinegar followed by a rinse and thorough air drying to remove any lingering oils and assure a good bond.
If you don’t want to use 2 part epoxy you might try a product called “Gator Glue”. Its a white glue type adhesive used to bond photo etch to plastic. Here is the link to the web site: http://www.gatorsmask.com/gatorglueorder.html

Would it make sense to increase the bonding surface by installing some styrene blocks around the inside of the hull, flush with the top edge? Is the deck stiff, or should you add a couple cross beams?
Personally, I’d use a contact-type cement, as these remain somewhat flexible over time. Remember, plastic and brass have different expansion/contraction rates, and depending on how the model is displayed/moved, inflexible adhesives-even epoxies–may fail.

Gator Glue, gives plenty of time to move your part sticks like CA. Plus cleans up with water. Set up time is about 30 min, but leave it for 24 hours for cure time.
plus the Gator Glue retains some flex after cure…i think thats one of its biggest selling points
