Wherefore Art Micro Solder

Pix told me to buy some .015 Micro solder, so if he says do it, I think it should be done. However, I have never heard of it, and I need it to finish my own, more humble but same 1/48 color Hurricane PE set, Eduard flaps (no color on the flaps, but that’s irrelevent here). Where does one find Micro solder? I don’t know how to actually solder, but I’ve used larger sizes, which are great for simulating wheel well plumbing and such like. And Pix says this Micro solder is perfect for simulating very slender scale flap pivot rods. Any suggestions where I might look? Hardware store?

sharkskin,

Gonna be looking for some myself. I do recall someone in another thread suggesting that Radioshack might be a possible source. You might check there if you have any in your area. Radioshack sells electronic components and such.

sharkskin - I get mine at Radio Shack. Any electronic/electrical supply store will probably carry it.

This is the one I use:

Radioshack or any elactronics supply store. Not likely carried by your local hardware.

Regards, Rick

Yes, radioshack on court st (between atlantic and schemerhorn) has it. In the back.
