Where to go next?

Built this Israeli M60 ages ago and never really finished it, I’m crap at weathering desert vehicles so do you guys suggest i do with it finishing wise? in terms of weathering that’s been done I have done some simulated pain chips.

Dot filters will add subtle variations to the monotonous color.

For a vehicle in the desert weathering is mostly dust, more dust, and still more dust. That you can do with airbrushing, dry brushing, pigments, or other techniques. Chipping, in my experience and opinion is an overdone fad currently in fashion with armor modelers. If you do some image searches of Israeli armor, you will be hard pressed to find photos of chipped vehicles, except perhaps those that have been knocked out in battle. While the IDF is not a spit and polish dog and pony show parade appearance military, they do keep their equipment in very good working order.

You can do pin washes and dry brushed highlights, seal that off, then do the dot filter technique to add variety to a monotone finish.

Will if you are crap at desert weathering, just go at it with what you have. Then used what you learned on the next one.
