I have seen 1/350 crew members on some model ships that people have done and I was wondering if anyone knows where to get them? Are they photo-etch? Are there any low budget alternatives?
Just trying to find out.

Good luck in your search.

I’ve seen them, but i can’t remeber where.
If something comes up i will let you know.
I found this link in UK.
I,m sure there was something else i can’t remember.
WEM 1/350 Naval Figures
http://www.whiteensignmodels.com/acatalog/index.html?http%3A//www.whiteensignmodels.com/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_1_350_Scale_Photo_Etch_40.html&CatalogBody
Its quite big this link, isn´t it?
What have i done?
the link was too long it has been broken by the midle.
Clik the above half link above and then serch for: WEM PE 3512 1/350 Naval Figures
You’ll get to it.
A company called L’Arsenal makes resin ones. These are actual
figures, whereas the PE ones are flat.
There is 50 in a set for about $15.00 US. Done well too.
You can order them direct or Pacific Front may have
them.
As for the Web Sites and e-mail addresses, I don’t have the info
here at work, so I will post it when I get home.

Thanks for the info everybody. I like the look of the resin ones’, as they are not flat like photo etch. I’ve seen resin before but I’ve never worked with it. What would I use to paint and glue them?
Jake
Use CA (Superglue) on resin. Use the same types of paints as with plastic but in addition you can use lacquer-based as it won’t dissolve resin as it would plastic.
Gold Medal Models has a 1/350 US Navy crew set in etched brass. For a distributor, type the name in on the internet and see if someone pops up somewhere.
