Where to buy Oils for weathering?

Can you guys help me out and tell me the website on where to buys those oils that you guys use for weathering. If you can please give me the link.

Thanks a lot![:D]

I get mine from here http://www.dickblick.com/ or at Hobby Lobby, Micheals, or Walmart.

Enjoy your modeling…

I use Windsor and Newton oils and water colours. You can find them at any decent art supply store. I think the address for Michaels is www.michaels.com

I buy all my Winsor Newton Oils at Pearl Paint or Michaels. There are varying qualities of Winsor Newton Oil paint and the price range from as low $3.99 for Series 1 and $50.00 for Series 4 etc. I use Series 1 and 2 for my tanks, and I have some Series 4 which are cadmium colors used for figures.

Thats really cool. Thanks for the help I will look at them and decide.

I bought a beginners set of oils (maybe 6 colors) at an art supply store about a hundred years ago, still using them. A little bit goes a long way.

Yup another vote for Michaels. They run a 40% off coupon every week too.

I’ve got two tubes of oil paint…Lamp Black and Yellow Ocher…that I’ve never opened or used along with a can of Odorless Thinner. When I was researching various weathering methods, I picked them up along with various other materials and just never gor around to trying them. I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby for something like $3 a tube and they had a nice selection to choose from.

The fact that I use enamels exclusively has made me wary of the oils and I like the results I’m able to achieve via other methods, so there they sit. [:D}

Very nice, as for myself I just want to try some new method in weathering and thats all.

I would definitely get some suitable thinner, too. I recently bought some, and it works great, and it smells like eucalyptus. Fantastic!

[#ditto] for walmart… Cheap! and they work fine for me…

Maybee I should try Wal mart.
Thanks lot!
