Where to buy academy parts ?

Hi all,

I hope you could help me on this. I’m making a horrible mistake by putting my Academy F-18C landing gears in mineral spirit to remove the the unwanted paint. The plastic becomes fragile and are breaking apart. Crap, I never got this problem with tamiya plastic. So be careful if you work with academy. The F-18 kit does not have spares so I think I need to buy a new tree for replacement. Hence I bump into another problem (once again academy). I could not find anything relating to the part purchase on their crappy website nor the contact info. If anyone knows where I can contact academy for the needed parts, I’d be very appreciated.

You could try contacting MRC. They are a distributor for Academy and several other brands and, if you follow this link, you’ll find they have a specific email address handling questions about parts for kits and such:

Perhaps you’ll have better luck purchasing what you’re after through them.
