Just wondering if the Abrams where fitted with the Deep Water Fording Kit??

Never saw any with the full stack. Saw quite a few USMC and some Army vehicles with just the lower, curved part to route the exhaust up and away from troops behind the tank. Many had just the square mounting plate as well.
To my knowledge, after having crewed the entire Xm1 prototype test (OT 1,2 and 3), and working at the Lima Army Tank plant for the better part of 17 years, I have never seen the fording kit attached or tested on or by the Abrams platform. That is not to say that it wasn’t done, at the factory we forded every production tank up to the sponsons, to check seal integrity on the hull blow off panels and the drain valves. We had a fording pit, we would attach an exhaust deflector over the rear grille door to deflect the turbine exhaust and that was it.
